Guidelines for Submitting Your Biographies

 You are invited to participate in the preservation of Biographies of Laurens County!

                Your desire and commitment are the first step--it is easy to do!

Write an account of your ancestor's life and story...Other descendants will appreciate
someone sharing the story previously unknown to them.

•  If submitting a biography from a printed published work--a critical rule is to be
   followed:  We must adhere strictly to all copyright laws.  Biographies with published
   copyright prior to 1922 usually do not violate copyright laws.  If you have any questions
   concerning possible violation, please advise before submitting.
   
• When preparing your biographies, remember to put a heading at the top of each to identify
   the source book, author and publication date.  
   
•  Please include your own identification at the bottom of each biography in the
   following format:  Submitted by:  Your Name (with email address)
   
•  Self written original biographies should include:  copyright your name and year.
   
•   If you have Laurens County Biographies you would like to donate...please contact the county
    coordinator.
   
•   Biographies are best received as an attachment to your email rather than included in
     the body of the email.
