I am searching for any information on the following, George CONDIE
died before July 23, 1797 in Fife, Scotland. He married Margaret
HENDERSON known children are Matthew CONDIE born about 1767 in
Fife, Margaret CONDIE born about 1779 and John.
Matthew CONDIE married Katherin HORN about 1785 Drysart, Scotland, known children are Andrew CONDIE and David CONDIE.
I have where a Matthew CONDIE immigrated to Victoria, Australia and died in 1854 at age 89. But, I can not prove that it is the same Matthew CONDIE as there are several Matthew CONDIE's from the same area in Scotland that ended up in Victoria, Australia.
I would like to be able to trace both the paternal and maternal lines, all I have on Margaret HENDERSON is that she was born in Fife, Scotland and was the daughter of George HENDERSON. Katherin HORN was born in Fife, Scotland and was the daughter of Andrew HORN and Agnes PHILIP, other known children of Andrew and Agnes are Margaret HORN born about 1758, Hellen HORN born about 1760, William HORN born about 1767 and Hercules HORN born about 1769 all in Fife, Scotland. I am also looking for any information on the location of and history of "Path Of Condie" or "Land Of Condie" which is presumed to be in the Fife area of Scotland. Any information at all would be helpful and appreciated.

Looking for information on John WEIR of Dunfermline, Fifeshire,
Scotland. What I know from notes I made from his obituary which appeared
in the Dunfermline Press, Sat. December 26, 1908:
He lived on Victoria Street, Dunfermline, at the time of his death. His father died when he was four years old. He was "sent to the pit" (i.e., coal mine) on his eleventh birthday. In 1880 he became the general secretary of the Fife and Clackmannan Miners Assn. He was on the Dunfermline Town Council 1885-1903, during the last 6 years, he was one of the Bailies of the Burgh. He was a life member of the Carnegie Dunfermline Trust which was established in 1903 by Andrew Carnegie. John WEIR was married and had one daughter and four sons. No names of these survivors were given in the obit. but it did say that one son had a government appointment in India and another son was engaged in scientific research in Germany. John WEIR died on December 20,1908.
This John Weir is somehow related to my great grandmother, Mary WEIR, born July 13, 1820 in Dunfermline to John and Henrietta WEIR or WIER d. February 1, 1871 in Johnstown, PA. Mary was married to Robert BAIN who was also a native of Dunfermline. They emigrated to America in the 1850s.
However, their daughter, Elizabeth BAIN HORNER, (my great Aunt Liz) was a guest of John WEIR at the dedication of the Dunfermline baths by Andrew Carnegie in 1903. I am hoping if I can find out more about John's ancestors it will shed more light on Mary's family. If you know anything about or are related to this John Weir please email me. Thanks in advance for helping me to solve this genealogy puzzle.
