I am researching the STEVENSON family. The 1st generation that I
have is James STEVENSON who married Margaret GILLISPIE. Their
son John STEVENSON was born in 1849 in Dunfermline, Fife.

Jr. and moved to Ohio around 1880. Ann and John
STEVENSON had 10 children most of which remained in Tuscarawas
Co. Ohio. I would really appreciate any information on this family.

Researching the family of James LUNDY, Sr., whose LDS record shows
him christened Jan. 22, 1674 in Kemback, Fife, Scotland.
His father was given as James LUNDIE, his mother is not known. James
LUNDY, Sr's will was probated in Isle of Wight County,Virginia,
USA in 1717. Furthur use of LDS records, give his father James LUNDIE
or LUNDY as being from Largo, Fife with his father also being
a James LUNDY. His grandfather would have been a James LONDIE
christianed Nov. 9, 1614 in Dysart, Fife giving his father as
William LONDIE. I will be glad to share my family information
in the USA with others.

We have naturalization papers from my great-great grandfather, James
B. ADAMS who immigrated from County Fife, Scotland
in the middle to late 1850's. He came with his wife Agness GEDDES and
her family. We know Agness' mother was Margaret and believe
her Father was George GEDDES but believe they were from County
Lemark. They came to Western Pennsylvania and worked in the mines.
We have traced them from 1860 forward but have no information about them
before they arrived in the U.S. I would like to hear from anyone
who can provide any information.

John Nelson Sun, 21 Mar 1999
My grandfather Samuel NELSON was born in 1882 in Tayport,
Fife, then called Ferry-Port-on-Craig. He emigrated to Canada
in 1905. He played trombone in the Salvation Army band. His
father was called George Nelson and was a mussel dredger.
My grandfather had brothers George, James, Issac, and Christopher,
and sisters Annie and Georgine. His mother was called Mary
Kerr. One brother is supposed to have died in Australia in a
trolley streetcar accident. Eventually his parents also came to Canada
and his mother was alive as late as 1938. He died in 1973. I believe that
I have relatives still in Tayport. In John Prebble's book about the
Tay Bridge disaster in 1879, a "John Nelson"
is mentioned as being a bridge painter interviewed after the collapse.
I'm interested in contacting anyone who may be of the same lineage as I
am.
