Pp. 253-255: Will of Archelaus Canada of Union District . . . to my daughter Elizabeth a tract about 50 acres on east of Frenchmans Creek adj. John S. Donnons; also the plantation on which I now live, about 50 acres adj. Hosea Canada's land; my negroes to be free; my friends Hosea Canady and Wm. Blackburn, extrs.,

Codicil stating that he has already given the other children their share, same witnesses plus Jacob Lawson.

 

Codicil, 9 March 1837, since it is not lawful to leave my negroes free, to go to my daughter Elizabeth, and if she dies to my son Hosea Kanady.
