DENNEY / ARMSTRONG
Searching for information on Edward DENNEY and Thomas ARMSTRONG, both early members of the Fairforest Presbyterian Church. Edward DENNEY was granted 100 acres near Mitchell Creek in 1772; listed on the 1776 Fairforest Presbyterian Church membership roll (Howe's History, 1870) and served in Brandon's Regiment 1779-1782. Married Jean ARMSTRONG daughter of Thomas ARMSTRONG about 1784. Seven children. Thomas ARMSTRONG, father of Jean, owned considerable property adjacent to Edward DENNEY. Earliest reference to him is a March 1766 land plat. Identified as a chain carrier. Died between 1772 and 1775. A portion of his will dated December 1771 is on microfilm at the SC Archives in Columbia. Dates of birth and origin of both men are unknown. Clues or research suggestions would be welcome.

DILL
Searching for more info on Seborn DILL born January 1, 1795 Spartanburg Dist., SC. Moved to Union Co., SC by 1830. Lived next to his presumed mother, Nancy Dill, born 1774 in Maryland on the Union Co. census in 1830 and 1840. Seborn's wife identified as Elizabeth PETTY. Who was her father and mother? Also want to know the father of Seborn. He possibly may have been a Joseph DILL. There were three Joseph Dill's on the 1790 census of Spartanburg District. Nancy is on the 1820 Spartanburg census as head of household, before moving to Union Co. There was also a George DILL and a Thomas DILL on the Union Co. census. Who are they? Seborn DILL served in the War of 1812. He moved to Bibb Co., AL by the 1840's and then onto Lamar Co., AL where he died in 1867. Please email j.ssud@sonet.net

DONALDSON
Would like to contact anyone working on DONALDSON, in specific Hugh DONALDSON will recorded Union Co., 8 Mar 1813. Would like to know if the "Test" of the will namely Saml ARCHIBALD, John BLASINGAME, and James ANDERSON have any relationship to the decd. In particular would like to ideity the "Test" John Blasingame. There were a lot of men by name of John BLAS(S)INGAME in Union and surrounding counties pre 1800 as well as post 1800, and identifying and separating the respective John BLAS(S)INGAME men has been difficult at best. The person known as "General" John Blas(s)ingame lived in Greenville Co., and it is doubted by some of researching this line that he is the "Test" referred to in this will. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!! Barbara Eades BLEades@aol.com
