that Samuel was a rich planter in S.C. until the bank panic
and suceeding economic depression in the 1830's. He thought
that Samuel's father was Robert HARRIS, "the famous clergman
who had a lot to do with settling Union co". My cousin
thought Robert came from Pennsylvania and might have been

Harris who died in Union in 1849. The 1850 Census of Union

Fairforest area of Union County in the mid to late 1700s. I
believe that Edith and Rachel were daughters of Stephen and
Mary (Powell) Howard, but would like to have some more
reliable documentation. Stephen HOWARD was probably the
brother of Obediah and Nehemiah HOWARD. Would like very much
to correspond with researchers of this HOWARD family. Thank
you.

HUSON / LAWRENCE /
LITTLEJOHN / TATE
I am trying to locate where Dr. Richard HUSON was born and
who his father was. He was born in 1784 and married Sarah T.
who died in 1832. I am also trying to find her maiden name.
Richard HUSON was the father of Harriet B. HUSON who married
Hamlet GOUDELOCK about 1835. I am also trying to find the
father of James LAWRENCE who died in 1830. He had a daughter
Sarah who married Henry Yatt LITTLEJOHN. She died in 1849.
Obediah TATE was born in 1806 and died in 1892. I think his
father was James TATE, born 1760 in Lunenburg, Va. but I am
not sure I am right. Does anyone have any information on any
of these names? I would be happy to share any information I
have.
