KELLY / HAMES
Searching for information regarding Thomas KELLY (1784-1866) primarily the names of his parents as well as the dates and places of their birth. Thomas KELLY was married three times to: Rebecca GAULT, Molley HAMES and lastly to Melissa HAMES (1808-1879); the sister of Molly. Thomas and Melissa had at least three children, one of which was Jameson G. KELLY (1836-1906). I am descended from this line. The HAMES sisters were the children of Thomas HAMES who was the son of Charles and Catherine KRUGG HAMES. The name of Thomas KELLY is found on the US census list from 1820-1850 in Union County. The 1850 census lists his residence as Pinckneyville. I know he is buried in the KELLY cemetary.
