Mike Barden -- Cornealia (Neely) Jane Blake. She moved to Monroe Co., NC. where she married Pickett Oscar Melton at Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He died at age 28. Neely remarried two years later to William Earl Glenn, also of Monroe, at Mt. Zion Church. After some years Neely went to Camden, SC. to work in the mills. She had 4 living children at that time; Roy Melton, Mary Ruth Melton, William Earl Glenn, Jr. and a three year old girl who died. After that Neely took her Melton children to Richmond, Va leaving William Earl Jr. to be raised by his father's grandmother Mrs. Glenn of Monroe Co., NC. Years later Neely divorced Earl, Sr. She married Howard Jones who was one of the boarders in her boarding house on Chimbarazo Hill in Richmond.
