(Gaffney) it is also listed under Spartanburg and York County S.C. 1860 census lists a Martha Harris living with Nancy M. Parker. And a Susan Parker aged 74 also living with Nancy.

Moneca Price -- Pattersons in SC at least from 1800-1860. Jackson PATTERSON may be the son of Enoch PATTERSON and Violet CHAPMAN (both supposedly born in SC). Jackson m. Martha abt 1850 in Union Co, SC and they had 2 daughters there (Cordelia and Mary). Jackson, and a few other PATTERSONs (including Robert and Abner) moved to Poinsett Co & Craighead Co, AR in 1850's and Jackson and Martha PATTERSON's third daughter, Matilda Catherine was born there in 1860.
