MCGILL, A.J., 30, of typhoid fever at Rocky Comfort Ark. (5/21/1877)
WHITE, Col. John Makamie, 44, 2nd son of late Col. William E. White, at Fort Mill, 14 May.  Sudden death;  two mo. before had attack of jaundice.  Refused to rest & day before death walked more than 2 miles to his plantation.  At 11 PM of the same night he was awakened by excessive pain in the abdomen which continued to increase in severity until the brain was affected - considered law as career after graduation. (5/21/1877)

BLACK, Miss Harriet, 26, dau of L.A. & M.R. Black, 2 June. (7/2/1877).
SMITH,William S. "Uncle Billy", 75, died at home of his son-in-law, Jefferson Garrison, 4 mi. south of Yorkville; a native of Ireland, he was a shoemaker.  Citizen of Yorkville for last 40 years.
