Dr. John T. Clark, of Camden, -Married in York Dist., on the 28th ult., by the Rev. B. Walker, to Miss Jane C., daughter of Aquila Dyson. (Camden Journal, December 8, 1832.)

Mr. John R. Shurley, -Married on Wednesday, 8th December, by Professor James C. Furman, to Miss Martha Ann, daughter of Col. George Leitner, all of Fairfield District. (Southern Baptist, December 22, 1847.)

Dr. W. C. Cauthen of Lancaster, -Married on the 6th inst., by the Rev. W. F. Brasington, to Miss Jane Cauthen of York District. (Camden Journal, April 12, 1848.)

Dr. J. R. Bratton, of Yorkville, S. C., Married on the morning of the 12th inst. at the house of R. K. Cureton , Esq., by the Rev. P. E. Bishop, to Miss Mary Rebecca, the second daughter of the late William Massey, deceased, of the Waxhaws. (Camden Journal, February 26, 1850.)

Mr. John R. Shurley of Fairfield, -Married on Thursday the 5th inst., by the Rev. W. W. Rollings, to Miss Mary Ann, third daughter of Alexr. Fewell, Esq., of Ebenezerville, York District, So. Ca. (Southern Baptist, August 25, 1852.)

Mrs. Elizabeth J. Massey, -[Died] At Chesnut Grove, York District, on the 16th ult., wife of Capt. John Massey. [Camden Weekly Journal, April 5, 1853.]

The Hon. D. Wallace of Union, -On the 9th inst., at Yorkville, by Rev. Jas. Adams, to Mrs. Emily Starr, of the former place. (Camden Weekly Journal, May 22, 1855.)

Mr. H. Quinn, -Married, May 3rd, 1859, by Rev. T. Dickson, to Miss E. Anthony, of York District, S. C. (Southern Baptist, June 14, 1859.)

John R. Shurley, -Died at his residence in Ebenezer, York District, S. C. on the 15th of March, 1863, in the 47th year of his age. . .left wife and five children, an aged mother and brothers and sisters. . . Confederate Baptist, May 6, 1863.)

Johnnie, son of Lieut. W. L. and Mrs. L. V. Robertson, -Died, at Rock Hill, October 20, 1863, aged 1 year, 1 month and 26 days. (Confederate Baptist, November 25, 1863.)

Mrs. N. C. , wife of Solomon Harris, -[Died] In Fort Mill, S. C., aged 51 years, one month and 26 days. She was an affectionate wife, a kind mother and a most excellent neighbor, and had been a consistent member of the Methodist Church for twenty-five years. She leaves a husband and four sons, with many friends to mourn her loss. (Southern Home, Charlotte, N.C., May 2, 1876.)

John James Poag -20 March 1877, married, in Yorkville, and Miss Mary Wylie, daughter of Samuel Wylie of York Co. (Southern Home, Charlotte, N. C., April 23, 1877.)

Col. L. P. Sadler, prominent citizen of Yorkville, died June 2, age 59. He was colonel of the Western Regiment of Militia and later York County tax collector. Once in the mercantile business at Yorkville. In the CSA, he was Capt. of 17th S.C. Regt. for about one year. Ill health forced his retirement. (Southern Home, Charlotte, N. C. June 18, 1877.)

J. R. Kimbrell -Married by Rev. J. B. Mack at Fort Mill, and Mrs. Emma Duffy. (Southern Home, Charlotte, N. C., March 22, 1878.)

Dr. Thomas B. Whitesides, 50, died, Pope Co. Ark., June 26, formerly York County.

Miss Elizabeth C. Craven, -Died in Yorkville, S. C. on the 18th inst. of typhoid fever, daughter of the late Dr. Alfred and Mrs. Cornelia Craven , aged 19 years;
Mr. A. C. Fields and Miss E. C. Nivens married, in Fort Mill district, both of Fort Mill.
