Walker, Nancy Harriet:  Died in Union District, on Sunday morning 25th ultimo, Nancy Harriet, infant daughter of Mrs. Lizzie and Col. J. Felix Walker.(Issue of November 5, 1857)

Walker, R.M.:  In Yorkville, on Tuesday morning, 19th instant, Mr. R. M. Walker, formerly of Cass Co., Ga., aged about 48 years.(Issue of May 21, 1857)

White, Luticia Jane:  In this District, on the 29th ultimo, Luticia Jane, daughter of Matthew and Catharine White, aged 3 years 2 months and 14 days. (Issue of November 1, 1860)

White, Margaret Priscilla:  In DeSoto County, Mississippi, of Typhoid Fever, Miss Margaret Priscilla White, daughter of Moses and Sarah White, formerly of Lancaster District.(Issue of April 16, 1857)

Whitener, Jane E.:  In Charlotte, N. C., on the 2d instant, of Typhoid Fever, Mrs. Jane E. Whitener, in the 28th year of her age-- wife of H. H. Whitener, and daughter of John B. and Eliza Adams, of York District.(Issue of July 19, 1860)

Whitesides, Austin S.:  Died at his fathers residence in York Dist., S. C., on the 3d day of January, 1863, Austin S. Whitesides, son of Thos. Whitesides. This is the 2d and last son of his who has been sacrificed, Austin S. Whitesides was born 2 April 1842. His brother James H. Whitesides born 31 Aug 1832, Co. H. 1st S. C. Cavalry, and died in Clayton Hospital, Lynchburg, Va., 20th March 1863.(Issue of January 27, 1864)(6th SCV Co. B)

Witherspoon, Isaac Dommon: Died in Yorkville on the 5th inst., Isaac Donnom, infant son of Capt. I. D. and Mrs. M. E. Witherspoon, aged 6 months and 19 days. …(Issue of September 10, 1862)

Witherspoon, James H.:  Death of James H. Witherspoon at Lancaster Court House on Monday of last week…a member of the late Confederate Congress.(Issue of October 12, 1865)

Witherspoon, Mary Elizabeth:  At Lancasterville, on Tuesday morning, the 30th ult., after a lingering illness of one week, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth, wife of James H. Witherspoon, Esq., Ordinary and Commissioner in Equity for Lancaster District.(Issue of January 8, 1857)

Wright, Samuel:  Died Suddenly, near Hopewell, in this District, on Sunday last, Dr. Samuel Wright, in the 55th year of his age.(Issue of September 16, 1858)

Wright, Samuel:  Died on the 12th of September, in York District, S. C., Dr. Samuel Wright, in the 55th year of his age…member of the Presbyterian Church. The last time he was permitted to attend the sanctuary he dedicated his little daughter Perla to the service of God in baptism.…(Issue of October 14, 1858)

Wright, William:  Died at his residence in this village, on Tuesday, the 22nd inst., Col. William Wright, in the 59th year of his age…born in York District about 13 miles north west of the Court House, but his father and family removing to the village in his early infancy, he afterwards lived and died a citizen of Yorkville… (long account and eulogy).(Issue of October 1, 1857)

Wylie, Sylvanus Meek:  Died in this District on the 28th ultimo, Sylvanus Meek, youngest son of J. J. and N. J. Wylie, aged 8 months.(Issue of February 18, 1863)

Yancey, W.L.:  Death of Hon. W. L. Yancey, at his residence near Montgomery, Alabama…Senator from Alabama in the Confederate Congress.…(Issue of August 5, 1863)

Youngblood, William A.:  Died of Typhoid Fever, at the camp near Germantown, in Virginia, on the 17th instant, William A. Youngblood, son of Samuel C. and Lucy Youngblood, in the 21st year of his age. (eulogy) … remains were brought home and buried in the churchyard at Bullock's Creek. …(Issue of September 26, 1861)
