Life insurance for a dairy can?? 07/06/06 10:57 PM I mentioned awhile back about saying a word and the other person not understanding what you were saying. Here’s one for the record books. While we were living in Blanding, Utah a door-to-door insurance salesman came over and made a sale. As we were filling out the application he asked what Ed’s occupation was. He said, "derrick hand." The guy seemed somewhat surprised and asked him again. Again, Ed said, "derrick hand." So the salesman keeps on filling out the form and just before he finished, he asked Ed one more time and when Ed said, "derrick hand," the guy says, "oh, okay," and soon left. When our policy arrived in the Occupation box it said simply, "dairy can." So see … they WILL sell insurance to anyone or anything! |
