Unnecessary tidbits about toilet tissue

I’m resetting my family histories. I sat down the other night to play a game of Hearts and instead of wasting time with a game I climbed into the tree and went to work. One more thing to get addicted to. Good thing I don’t drink! My addictions are piling up … food, toilet tissue, now genealogy revisited. (Good grief … toilet tissue … what the hell did that mean???)
I remember a few years ago during genealogy meeting "Show and Tell" we were given a very interesting demonstration on many different types of toilet tissue from several European countries. Now, I’ve heard of collecting many, many thing, but toilet paper??? Yes, it was interesting.
Speaking of toilet tissue … (good God … she will talk about anything!!!) I watched a TV show awhile back about overly-stingy people. One husband was so stingy he separated two-ply toilet tissue to make two rolls instead of one. In fact, the wife swore she was allowed to use only six squares per trip.
Well, that really got me to thinking so I shared the segment with the office staff. Now I’m sharing it with you … I am a changed person since that show aired. I COUNT!!! It’s like an addiction, I can’t quit! You may not be aware of this, but if the roll is on a spindle, you could end up with 12-16 squares in one grab. However, if the paper is OFF the spindle and you wrap it around your hand, 6-8 squares. Go ahead, check it out, but beware … you could get "hooked", too!
