OSBORNE/OSBORN We have reason to believe that Corrilla
Osborne lived in Flandreau for a time and possibly died there. I would place
her death sometime around 1890 +/- 5 years. She may have been living with her
granddaughter, Corrilla Etta and the surname is
unknown. She is a HUGE missing link in my tree. She is my 3rd
great grandmother. Here husband is buried in

Seeking information on Stephen (Steven)YOUNT/YUNT who was a resident of Moody
County SD from about 1880 (he is listed on the 1880 Moody Co SD Census) thru
1920. He was listed as a farmer, having a mortgaged farm, but later is listed
as a boarder, so not sure if he sold his land, or "lost" it. He
apparently never married. He was born in Illinois, although some data suggests
Iowa, about 1853 to Silas and Mary Caroline (GAYLORD) YOUNT/YUNT. The family
lived in Mitchell County Iowa, where both parents died while the children were
all still very young (1860 and 1866) Siblings include: Elvira (1844-1864);
Napoleon (1845); John L (1849- 1875); Elizabeth (1851); Rachel (1856); Julia
(1858) and Ella Ruth (1860). The only children I have located are Elvira, John,
Ella, and a bit of info on Julia. No idea what became of Napoleon, Elizabeth
and Rachel. Would like to find out if there is any info on Stephen there in
Moody County - particularly land records and possible obit. If this is correct
person, he died 17 Oct 1939 and was buried back in Mitchell County Iowa. Any
help would be greatly appreciated!

T Hadfield (jthadfield@charter.net) Mon Jun 6 11:25:04 2005
My great great grandfather is James Henry HADFIELD,
born in Waukesha Wisconsin in 1848, lived and married to Ida M Jones in Osage,
Mitchell Iowa, in 1878, moved to Dakota Territories and appears in 1875 and
1880 census of same, in Lake county. Also his brother A D Hadfield
and sister in Law H E Hadfild, live nearby as well as
sister Sarah Jones (Hadfield) and Charles E Jones. My
grandfather (b 1884) Irvin James, and 3 other siblings Earl Abner
(1883), Mable Linna (b
1886) , and Kenneth Allie (1897) , HADFIELD were born in Flandreu,
Moody, S. Dakota. They all moved to Seattle Washington in about 1905. I dont know if they moved to Flandreu,
or were just born there and lived in lake county. the census shows townships in
Lake county of 105 and 108, ranges 51. 52, 53 and 54.

HEISER,Jacob. I am seeking
info on Jacob Heiser. He was born in NY in 1852 of
Jacob and Catherine Heiser. He is found in the 1860
census of Philadelphia at the age of 8. Then he is found in the 1930 census of Colman,Moody County as a lodger at the age of 77. I also
found him named as marshal of Moody County in 1909. I am hoping to find an obit
or something like it to indicate that he is indeed the son of Jacob and
Catherine or at least the date of death so that I can send for his death
certificate.
