CULEY FAMILY BIOGRAPHY

Jerry Culey was born to Helen and the late Clarence Culey on September 25, 1932, in Onida. He attended Onida Public Schools and was engaged in farming for several years with his father. In 1949, Emma Jean Sack, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank T. Sack, moved to Onida from Wichita, Kansas, and graduated from Onida High School in 1950. Emma Jean and Jerry were married at the Holy Rosary Church in Agar on August 13, 1952. To this union, 10 children were born. Debbie, who is now Mrs. Don Hargens of Gillette, Wyoming, has two girls, McKenzie and Courtney. Derrick (Duke) married Marilyn Alm in Gillette. Duke was killed two miles east of Moorcraft, Wyoming, in a one car accident on November 4, 1977. Their son, Jeremy, was born November 24, 1977. Jerilyn was married in Onida to Don Monlux of Pierre. They have four children, Aaron, Duane, Trent, and Jessie. They all reside in Pierre. Donnie and Denise are twins. Don is now living in Gillette, employed my Ramada Inn service department. Denise was married in Onida to Roger Dulaney of Pierre. They have two children, Randi and Ryan. They now live in Fort Pierre. Lisa was married in Onida to Jim McCue of Gillette, Wyoming. They have two girls, Kylie and Cori. They now reside in Gillette, Wyoming. Kari and Kelli, twin girls, are now working in Gillette, Wyoming. Cydni, a sophomore, and Bret, a second grader, are at home and attend Sully Buttes School. All of the Culey children attended the Onida Public School. Jerry is still engaged in farming and has been electrical superintendent for the City of Onida for the past 12 years.
