The Spring Valley Danish Cemetery information database consists of 3 parts.
This information was prepared by Ken Tiahrt (tiahrt@montana.edu) with the generous assistance of the
cemetery sexton and may be freely copied by individuals and non-profit organizations for their private use. Any other use,
including publication, storage in a retrieval system, or transmission by electronic, mechanical, or other means requires

1. A Cemetery Map
An approximate map of the cemetery showing the individual lots in
relationship to the adjacent Turner County Roadways, 289 Street & 447 Avenue, gives the
user a physical setting. Very specific locations for a given burial
plot can not be found using this information source.2. A List of
Burials
A listing of the burials at Danish Lutheran Cemetery – Section 29 – Spring
Valley Township – Turner County, gives the individual names in order of lot
numbers. This listing also gives the date of birth and date of death when
available. Most lots are large enough to accommodate as many as 16 graves,
specific grave sites are not given because apparently no official cemetery
record book still exists. Some individuals are listed who were "owners" of
the lots, and may be buried in the lot without a monument if no photo is given
or may not be buried in this cemetery at all.3. Photos of
Grave Monuments
Each photo is matched to the individual listed on a given line entry.
Because there is apparently no longer an official cemetery book available the
lot number for a given photo may be off by one or possibly 2 lots. This
lack of an official record book is likely due to the loss of 2 church buildings
over the years, one due to a storm and a second from a fire. The accuracy
available with the records in this document is acceptable for most
genealogical purposes. Use your browser return
