... The Kindersley Gen Web Region is located along the Alberta Saskatchewan border, between highways #7 and #1. The South Saskatchewan River runs through the center of this area.

... The mandate of Kindersley Regional Gen Web is to provide access to genealogical transcripts relating to this South Western portion of Saskatchewan. Kindersley Gen Web provides an international internet forum via surname pages , look up volunteers , mailing groups ,biographies , posting boards , web links and databases to make valuable local research material available or known to the public. Without publicity, source material remains obscure. Research enquiries are drawn to regional collections if awareness increases that this information exists, and knowing where, and how, to access such documents.

The province's centennial (1905-2005) year drew to a close, and set in its stead a legacy of Centennial Projects which are now online, some examples are:
BAKER, Charles and Bill Biography
MURCHISON, Gordon Memoirs
1881, 1901, 1906 and 1911 Census
One Room School House Project
The Saskatchewan Homestead Index Project (SHIP)
Vital Statistics Genealogy Search Page

... Celebrating Saskatchewan 2005 and Sask Gen Web calendar of events. These are great sites listing events in Saskatchewan.

... We will also provide web space here on Kindersley Gen Web in the Databases category if you wish to provide information of an upcoming event or project via e-mail.

I have hosted this southwestern Saskatchewan region for a number of years, and it may need fresh blood to re-invigorate it. If you would like to adopt the region, please e-mail.
Good Luck with your research.
Kind Regards,
Julia Kindersley Gen Web Project
