Fond
Recollections of Grandma Edith Vair-
After Florence’s
mother passed away, Maternal Grandparents cared for her until she was
twelve years of age. Florence returned home to her father George
Kiemele where she lived for four more years before she moved out on
her own.
This is how Florence
remembers her Grandmother Vair;
My Grandmother was a
very special person. She was always busy cleaning, cooking, and
growing a good garden. Grandma was meticulous about everything she
did. There was never a weed in her garden. She was a very wholesome,
clean living person with a keen sense of right and wrong.
My own mother died when
I was only three weeks old so Grandma found it in her heart to raise
me as if I was one of her own kids. I will love her forever.

and Appreciation By Florence Hunt (Kiemele)
