Fond Reflections of
George Kiemele jr
My
Dad has always been known for his strong work ethics. He has worked
long and hard to achieve high standards. Steadfast determination and
know-how endeared Dad to anyone depending on him to get the job done.
No job was too big or small. Any undertaking of Dad’s was done
to the best of his ability. The old phrase, “an honest day’s
work for an honest day’s pay,” described Dad very well in
his working years.
Dad
believed in living a clean, simple life embracing the fundamental
values of honesty, integrity, hard work and fair play. He lived a
modest life and found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He
provided well for his family and kept his family in touch with one
another over the years. He enjoyed his grandchildren and the outdoors
in his retirement years.
Dad
had a kindness in him that became more apparent when ‘needy’
people came to him for help. He always helped others when situations
became intolerable. Dad later extended his caring gestures to include
feeding the small woodland animals that lived close by.
Although
life is never perfect or easy for anyone but Dad always turned
adversity into victory everytime.
“Thanks
Dad for the lessons in strength and courage that you so aptly taught
us.”
