Jack George Miller laid to rest at age 83
Jack G. Miller passed away at Unity Union Hospital on April 4, 1992 at the age of 83 after a heart attack.
Jack was born in Leipzig to Joseph Miller and Theresa Mitzel. In 1917 the family moved to Muddy Lake district. Jack attended school there until he was 14 years of age. Jack worked a few places in the district.
Jack met Ida Wells and they were married November 25, 1943. He worked for Owen Michael from 1944 to 1947 and bought the farm in Grass Lake district in 1947. He sold out April 10, 1972 then moved to Unity.
Jack leaves to mourn his passing his wife Ida; three children: Evelyn Prest, Whitehorse; Shirley Ennis, Vancouver; Bob Miller of Kamloops, BC.; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four brothers: Bill, Joe, Paul, Frank and one sister Madeline Bretzer.
Jack was predeceased by his father, Joe in 1955, his mother in 1973; one sister Josie; brothers Adam and Tony Miller; one brother-in-law Adam Butwiloski; sister-in-law Gene Miller and son Fred.
Prayers for Jace were held at St. Peter's Church April 8. Mass of Christian Burial was held at st. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Unity on April 9, 1992 with Father Wald Reschny officiating. Pallbearers were John Bretzer; Dick Johns; Bob Briggs; Edward Schwab; George Ehresman and Tony Romonowski. Honorary pallbearers were Lloyd and Merle Cuthill; Theresa and Victor Wagner; Melvin and Nettie Briggs; Kathy Briggs; Richard and Karen Briggs; Larry and Doreen Briggs; Lynda Briggs and Bill and Lucy Romanowski.
Interment took place at Pleasant View Cemetery in Unity with arrangements by Unity Funeral Chapel Ltd.
