Mr. and Mrs. J. Shacter and family are spending a few days in Saskatoon visiting relatives.

Mrs. Heltman of Handel was the guest of her son, M. Bader, last week.

Tony Kaufmann and Stub Miller were visitors in Saskatoon on Saturday.

Ben Goorevitch of Veteran, Alberta and Ben Aisenstadt of Monitor, were business visitors in town last week.

On Sunday, October 9th, a concert was held by the pupils of the Notre Dame Convent and public school in the church hall.  There was a good attendance.  The program was made up of several Thanksgiving numbers which were thoroughly enjoyed by all. Mention must be made of the comedy part played by Hilda Saleski in one of the plays.  She took the part of a colored servent girl and kept the audience in a state of laughter throughout her performance.  Another interesting feature of the program was the lantern slides which were shown by Rev. Father Boening of the Moonlight Sonata of Beethoven. Father Boening first read a story of how Beethoven came to write this great masterpiece.  Altogether the program was a great success and much credit is due to sisters of the Notre Dame for their untiring efforts in the training of those who took part in the concert.

On Sunday evening fire of an unknown origin destroyed a barn on the farm of Melchoir Sherman.
