LEIPZIG ITEMS October 19, 1932 Mr. and Mrs. Mike Bader and family left on Friday morning for Loon Lake, where Mr. Bader recently took up a homestead. Mike Bader jr. left earlier in the week with a carload of household effects and machinery. He was accompanied by Henry Schommer, who will spend several weeks in the north with a view to taking up land. Mrs. Mike Delainey and family and Miss Rose Kelanhofer returned last week from a visit to Mrs. Delainey’s father at Nobleford, Alberta. Mr. and Mrs. Hoecker spent the past week in Saskatoon visiting friends. M.J. Vetter, who is the grain buyer for one of the Pool elevators here, met with a painful accident last week, while starting a engine. While closing the petcock on the engine, it exploded severely burning his left hand. Medical attention was given at once and it will be several days before he will be able to use the injured hand. On Sunday evening, a fire of an unknown origin, completely destroyed the home of Alphonse Cey. Mr. Cey was absent from home at the time and nothing was saved from the burning dwelling.
