Hello and Welcome!!
I started this site at the beginning of July, 2004. I have had information on my Father's family, The Mitchel/Mitchell's for quite sometime, but just recently thought that it would be nice to get it as up to date as possibly. Much of the information I have found was from the 1871, 1881, 1891 & 1901 Census for the town of Pembroke, in the county of Renfrew, Ontario.
Also have pin pointed the location of my Great grandfather Ritchie Mitchell who moved to Shawville, Pontiac County, Quebec, prior to the 1901 Census.

Deerfield, MA 01342Some of the categories above do not have much in them. There are several pictures of my family in the picture page, but I am hoping to find more as time goes on.
At this time; I have mainly focused on the Mitchell family that came to Quebec, Canada about 1818. In time, I will included information on the American Mitchell's but I would like to be able to fill in as much as possibly regarding the Canadian Mitchell, mainly because I think them might be easier to research.
