In 1902, we immigrated to the USA where six more brothers ans sisters were born. We then came to Prelate Sask. in 1917, where we rented a farm. In 1918, the year of the "flu", we moved to Revenue, Sask. I farmed with my father and brothers for awhile after I was married, then went on my own settling on NE 18-38-20. My youngest brother was born in Canada, completing our family of nine. We farmed in the Revenue district until 1950 when we moved to Wilkie, where we built a new house and semi-retired, still going to the farm each day. I was married to Marie Eva Weber in 1921, she being the daughter of Martin Weber and Agatha Meier. Our family is: Mary (Joe Koch), Rose (Fred Laturnus), Monica (Frank Laturnus), Vincent (Anne, who passed away, second wife - Valerie), Joe (Wilma), Catharina (Kasper Sander), Martin (Judy), Gerald (Eileen), Daniel, Lorraine (Ted Byblow), Wilma (Dennis Mack). My wife passed away June 11, 1984 and I still live in my house. I am in fairly good health, go to Mass regularly and enjoy playing cards and bingo. In the summer, I still drive my own car.
