He built the large rocking chair that is now in the pocession of
Monroe S. Burt II. He built houses at Crabmeadow and went to Orlando,
Florida winters. He and his wife started a refreshment stand at
Crabmeadow Beach, and made that popular. Willis had broken his leg
when young and wore a skate-like bar under one shoe as the injured leg
was shorter. His wife made beautiful patchwork quilts.

Jacob "Jake" Call was a miller at the grist mill at Riverhead. He was
unusually strong and when there was trouble with the inmates at the
jail, they sent for Jake to handle the unruly. (Told by Samantha
Conklin Call).

A Jacob Call was a witness to the will of Timothy Lane, of
Southampton, on 22 July 1829. The will was probated May 1832,
