Area: 12 849 sqkm. Highlands, > 4/5 of the area is above 500 m above sea level. Highest point: Helagsfjället (1796 m above sea level).
Pop: 13 114 (1977). Regional center:
Sveg (the only place with > 1000 inhab.). Winter sports center: Funäsdalen

Överhogdal SCB# 236108 . Also named "Hogdal in Härjedalen". Created 1466 as kapellförsamling from part of Sveg fg, abt 1814 classified as annexförsamling.
