Kungsör town Got its name from a farm (see below) Converted to köping in 1907. Industrial town.
Kungsör kungsgård built by king Gustaf Vasa (16th century) - kung = king, ör = (old) gravel. King Karl XI spent much time here. Completely destroyed by fire in 1822 - not rebuilt.
