A power of attorney was granted to William Combs of Georgia to receive from Phillip Combs, who was the administrator of Phillip Combs Sr. deceased of Wilkes Co., all that they were due as legatees. It was dated March 24, 1838.
In another document, Pamelia Combs of Putman Co. is listed as the guardian for Francis Combs, an orphan of the father, Jas. Combs. deceased. A power of attorny to William Combs, to collect for the orphan Francis, son of James Combs, deceased. This document was dated Apr. 2, 1838.
