
"The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, founded in 1890,
is a service organization dedicated to service to the Nation. It is comprised of
51 state societies and more than 2,900 chapters in the United States as well as many
Units Overseas. The National Society is organized into nine reporting divisions.
Its objectives are Historic Preservation, Promotion of Education and Patriotic Endeavor.
The President General is the official spokesman of the National Society."
