Sugar Tree Knob is located a mile or so from the western 
foot of the wets spur of Short Mountain. On the 
narrow ridge between the knob and the mountain is a 
church, once called Acre Church, but now called Sugar 
Tree Knob Church.

Tree Knob area; the Gassaway area is about the same thing
they are two different places, but down the same road.
