Willie C. Adkins, 72, Jacksboro died Feb. 3 at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County.He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Audrey Danielle Adkins; parents, Edward and Flossie Adkins.Mr. Adkins is survived by his wife, Anna Mae Adkins, Jacksboro; sons, Danny Adkins and Benny Adkins both of LaFollette; daughters, Linda Adkins, Tammy Sue Branam all of Jacksboro; six grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brothers, Robert Adkins, Caryville, Doug Adkins, Nashville, Raymond and Willard Adkins both of Knoxville; sisters, Carol Lawson, Clinton, Willa Dean Bell, Knoxville. Funeral services were Feb. 11 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Reverends Mark Branam and Charles Sparks officiating. Interment was in Mt. Paran Cemetery with full military honors by the Campbell County Honor Guard.

Mrs.Eliza Allen,69,wife of the late John L.Allen of Clinton Rt.2,died Friday in Detroit,Mich.Servcies were held at 2p.m.Wednesday at the Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev.Charles Johnsonthe Rev.T.H.Roark officiating.Burial was in the Leach Cemetery with Martin Funeral Home of Lake City in charge.Survivors include four daughters,Mrs.Aretta Byrge,Jacksboro,Mrs.Irene Sweeney,Mrs.Dorothy Vaughn andMiss.Anna Mae Allen all of Detroit,Mich.,one sister,Mrs.Curtis Isabell,Lake City,26 grandchildren,and 13 great-grandchildren.

John L Allen, 73, passed away Tuesday night at this home, Lake City, Route # 1 (Oak Grove Community) Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Eliza Harmon Allen, three sons Charles and Harry of Michigan and William of McDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida, four daughter Mrs. Aretta Byrge of Jacksboro, Mrs. Irene Sweeney and Mrs. Dorothy Vaughn and Mrs. Anna Mae Baker all of Michigan five sisters Mrs. Minnie Craig of Kentucky Mrs. Goldie Jeffers, Mrs. Bessie Miller both of Briceville Mrs. Mamie Adkins and Miss Ethel Allen of Lake City services were held Friday at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Johnson and Rev. Walter Richardson officiating. Internment was in Leach Cemetery with masonic services at the grave. Martins of Lake City in charge.

William Virgil Allen, age 70 of LaFollette, died Sept.9 at his home. A great man, admired and respected by all. He was a faithful member of Ivey Dell Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Allen; parents, William H. and Tilda E. Allen; brother, James F. Allen;sister, Lois Russell.He is survived by his sons; Robert Allen and William Earl Allen, both of LaFollette; daughter, Rose Campbell and husband, Gary of Jacksboro; grandchildren, Shannon Shears of Stinking Creek, Andrea Jones and husband, Jason of LaFollette, April Allen of LaFollette, Dustin Campbell and Scott Campbell both of Jacksboro; great grandson, Billy Davis of LaFollette; brothers, Bob Allen and Glen Allen both of Washington State; sisters, Lou Guy of Speedwell, Sue Freels of Knoxville, and Linda Pride of Idaho; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and relatives. Funeral services were Sept. 13 at Walters Chapel with Rev. Randall Collins, Rev. Lloyd Campbell and Rev. Andrew Ayers officiating. Interment was in Bakers Forge Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Elmo Anderson. age 46 of Caryville. RT 1, Cherry Bottom Comm. passed suddenly Sunday at 6:45 p.m. at the Oak Ridge Hospital of injuries received in a truck accident. He was an employee of the Holbrook Motor Co. member of the Ridge view Baptist Church. Survivors; wife, Mrs. Eva Randolf Anderson; daughter, Mrs. Mike (Janet) Parks of Lake City; son Edward Anderson of Caryville RT 1; Father, G. J. Anderson, Lake City; sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Edna) coffman, Lake City, Mrs. Warren ( Evelyn) Carter of Powell RT 3, Brothers, Earl Anderson of Texas, Estelle Anderson, and  Amos Anderson ,Jr. both of Lake City . Funeral will be Wednesday, 2:00 pm. at the Cox Chapel, Rev. Roy Jones and L. B. Huskey officiating, Interment in the Lovely Cemt. Family will receive friends, Tuesday 7-9 pm. at the Cox Funeral Home Lake City.

The family of Dannelle Ausmus wishes to express our sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy and assistance during our recent bereavement. Mr. and Mrs. Danny Ausmus wish to thank all their friends and relatives who assisted them during the recent death of their daughter, Dannelle Marie Ausmus. Little Dannelle was ran over while crossong the street after geting off her school bus near her home in Gainesville Ga. The bus driver was unaware that he had ran over Dannelle until he had finished his route and returned to school to pick up his second load. He was told by a Georgia State Trooper, Mr. and Mrs. Ausmus wish to take this opportunity to ask that everyone be alert and drive carefully so needless tradigies like this one that killed their daughter can be avoided. Other than her parents Dannelle is survived by her sister Penny Lynn Ausmus and by her grandparents Mrs. Roger Powell Lake City Carl Gibson Clifton, Colorado, and Mr. and Mrs. Lawe Rence Ausmus Lafollette great grand parents Mr. Russell Siler Habersham, Mrs. Lydia Gibson Lafollette, and Mr. and Mrs. Ben McCuliah, Pioneer. Ayers, Sarah Elizabeth "Granny Lizzie" - age 92 of LaFollette,  went home to be with her Lord August 5 at her home.  She was a member of Stanfield Church of God for 79 years.  She was a loving mother and grandmother.  Granny was preceded in death by her husband Robert Ayers, infant daughters, Mary Lou and Essie Ayers, parents, Andy and Lou McCullah and step-mother Julie McCullah. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Andrew & Wanda Ayers,  Dub & June Ayers, Charles & Linda Ayers, all of LaFollette.  Eddie & Jessie of Pioneer; daughters & sons-in-law, Reecie & Bill Ridenour, Esther & Wayne Caldwell;  daughters Dessie Smiddy and Ann Ayers all of LaFollette, Leona  Brinker of Cincinnati, Ohio; brothers, Daniel Hoss McCullah, Williamsurg, Ky and Nathan McCullah of LaFollette; sister, Esther Bolton, LaFollette; 28 grandchildren;  4 great-great grandchildren; special cousin Ed McCullah and a host of other friends and relatives. Funeral service 2 pm Sunday, August 8, at Stanfield Church of God.  Rev. Delmus Bruce and Rev. Ron Bruce officiating. Interment Ayers Cemetery, Stinking Creek. Sherry Ausmus, - age 41, wife of Art Ausmus of Speedwell, Tenn., passed away April 11, 1997, at the University of Tennessee Hospital. Born January 20, 1956, in Pineville, Ky. Survivors: husband, Art Ausmus, Speedwell; sons and daughter-in-law, Jeremiah and Renee Arthur, Kingston, Tenn., Phillip Loren Ausmus, Kingston, Tenn., Johnathan Lee Ausmus, Speedwell; parents, Alvin and Shirley Williams Keith, Kingston, Tenn.; brother, Kenneth Ray Keith, Jacksboro, Tenn.; sister, Pat Branham, Kingston, Tenn.; special friends, Margo Goins, Kelly Mayhall, both of Speedwell; one grandson, Jeremiah Arthur, Jr. Funeral service will be Saturday, 8 p.m. at Reece Valley Chapel. Body will lie in state 30 minutes before the service. Rev. Bill Hill officating. Music by the Faithful Few. Graveside service Sunday 2 p.m. in the Ausmus Cemetery. Pallbearers: Friends of the family.
