Geneva Gibson, 51, of Clairfield, died Saturday, Feb. 10, at the
Jellico Community Hospital. She was preceded in death by father Clyde Webb. She
is survived by husband Michael Gibson of Clairfield; daughters Pam Hatfield of
Tazwell and Jennifer Gibson of Clairfield; sons Lonnie Gibson of Clairfield and
Benji Gibson of Stinking Creek; mother Carrie Webb of Clairfiled; sister Judy
Partin of White Oak; brothers Lonnie Webb of Clairfield, James Webb of White
Oak, Herman Webb of Tackett Creek, David and Donnie Webb of Clairfield. Funeral
services were held on Feb. 12 at New Rock Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Ray
Woods and Rev. Jimmy Bowman officiating. Interment was held in Rogerston
Cemetery.
Harp Funeral Home of Jellico was in charge of
arrangements.

Mrs. Cora Anne Goins, age 104 of LaFollette passed away Thursday,
November 11, 2004 at Sunbridge Health and Rehabilitation Center of LaFollette.
She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by
her husband, Bob Goins, parents John and Martha Bailey, 3 brothers, 3 sisters
and 1 grandson. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Boyd Goins and
wife Jean of LaFollette and Everette Goins and wife Wilma of Jacksboro; Five
grandsons, one granddaughter, three great grandsons, four great granddaughters
and two great-great granddaughters. Sister: Nora Monday of Oliver Springs.
Several other relatives and friends. Funeral services were Saturday 7 PM at
Walters Chapel with Rev. Charles Jack Goins officiating. Interment was Sunday at
10 AM at Powell Valley Cemetery and Memorial Gardens with grandsons serving as
pallbearers. The family received friends from 5-7 PM Saturday before services at
Walters Funeral Home. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette was honored to serve

December 4, 2004 Euretha Goins, - age 88 of LaFollette,
passed away Saturday, December 4, 2004, at St. Mary's Health & Rehab Center
in LaFollette. She was a member of the East LaFollette Baptist Church and
retired from Imperial Reading Corporation with over 40 years of service.
Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Paul Tiller, of LaFollette;
special granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Brenda and Bobby Hicks, of
LaFollette; special great- granddaughter and great-grandson-in-law, Kelli and
Brent Pickett; special great-great-grandson, Jackson Cole Pickett, all of
Chattanooga; sister, Sue Chapman of LaFollette; several nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends. Funeral services Monday 8 p.m. at Walters Chapel with
Rev. David Hicks and Rev. Danny King officiating. The family will receive
friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday before services at Walters Funeral Home. Family
and friends will meet 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bakers Forge Cemetery for graveside

Georgia Goins, age 83 of LaFollette died in the early morning on
Dec. 6 at St. Mary’s Health and Rehab Center. She was a member of the First
Independent Missionary Baptist Church. She was retired from Imperial Reading
after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, William
Whit and Mary Ann Miller Goins. She is survived by her brother, Jess Goins of
LaFollette; sister, Ruby Miller, Aileen Leach, both of LaFollette and Lois Sharp
of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Dec. 8 at Cross
Chapel with Rev. Al Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Victory
Cemetery at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9.Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the
arrangements.

Nora Goins, , 78, of Rt 4, Bethlehem Community, LaFollette, died
Saturday evening at LaFollette Community Hospital. She was the wife of the late
Emit Goins and was preceded in death by two sons, Don Goins and Lloyd Goins. She
was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Survivors include 3 daughters, Miss
Ann Goins, Mrs. Nadine Jones and Mrs. Neoma Jones all of LaFollette: 4 sons
John, Homer, Clayton, and Clifford Goins all of LaFollette: 2 sisters, Maggie
Smith, White Oak, and Mary Green, Ohio; 3 brothers, Ed, Bud, and Charles Smith
all of White Oak; 18 grandchildren, 6 G-Grandchildren. Funeral services were
Tuesday 2 pm at Walters Chapel with Rev. Paul Heatherly and Rev. Virgil Cole
officiating. Burial was in Goins Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home, LaFollette, was

Pauline Goins, age 77 of 391 Old Middlesboro Hwy., Lafollette
passed away Sunday, September 23, 2001 at the St. Marys Medical Center of
Campbell County. She was a member of the Glade Springs Baptist Church. Mrs.
Goins was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who enjoyed
spending time with her family and friends. She also loved her church. She was
preceded in death by husband, William Goins; Son Jeffery Goins; Parents Andrew
and Neoma Edmond Starrett; Brother, Leon Starrett; Sisters Floetta Starrett;
Bobbie Mattie; and Brother in law, Henry Boles. Mrs. Goins is survived byy son,
David Goins; son and daughter in law. Steve and Diana Goins all of Lafollette;
daughter and son in law, Debbie Goins and Curt Chitwood of Jellico; 4
grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; Brother and sister in law, Kenneth and
Nancy Starrett and A.J. and Janice Starrett all of Lafollette Sister, Hazel
Boles of Jellico and Brother in law, Gene Mattie of Lafollette. Several nieces
and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

William Ed Goins 85 of East Kentucky Avenue Lafollette died at
10:35 p.m. Thursday at Lafollette Community Hospital. He is survived by his wife
Etta Harbor Goins five daughters Mrs. Edna Ausmus Detriot Mich., Mrs. Kate Goins
and Mrs. Evelyn Guy both of Dayton Ohio Mrs. Edith Kirkland of Lafollette four
sons Simp Goins Claxton Max Goins Knoxville C. J. Goins Baltimore Md., and Oscar
Goins Groton Conn., two brothers Simp Goins and Alex Goins both of Lafollette 22
grandchildren and 10 great grand children. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.
Monday at Indiana Avenue Baptist Church by the Rev. Earnest Goins and the Rev.
Fred Garner Burial was in Davis Chapel Cemetery. Roach Mortuary Lafollette was
in charge of arrangements.

Roy Gothard, 83, of Habersham, died Monday, November 1 at the
family residence. He was a member of the Little White Oak Church of God and a
retired coal miner. He was preceded in death by; parents, Thomas Jefferson and
Matilda Freels Gothard; wife, Thelma Mae Branam; son, Roy Wayne Gothard;
brothers, Charlie Gothard, and Clarence Gothard. Survivors include; daughters,
Agalee Bolton , and Lois Malicoat, both of Habersham; son, John Gothard of
Jacksonville, Florida; sisters, Vivian Malicoat of Habersham, and Pauline
Humphrey of Sparta, Tennessee; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 3 at the Cox & Son Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev, Donald Allen, Rev. Bill Gaylor, and Rev. Clyde Davis
officiating. interment followed in the Odd Fellow
Cemetery.

Bertie Martin Gross, age 85 of Jacksboro died Sept. 22 at the
LaFollette Dialysis Center. She was a member of the Cumberland View Baptist
Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Gross; parents, Newton
Mitchell and Grace Martin; brothers, Rex Martin, N.M. (Bud) Martin; sister,
Mabel Peterman and Emma Love Brewer. She is survived by her sons and
daughter-in-law, Richard and Judy Gross of Jacksboro, Martin Timothy and Brenda
Gross of Sapilpa, Okla, Walter Eugene Gross of Jacksboro; daughter and
son-in-law, Sondra and Bill Rains of Jacksboro; 13 grandchildren and 23 great
grandchildren; sisters, Beulah Williams, Babs Hatmaker, Bettie Martin, all of
Jacksboro; Joanne Hughes of Chattanooga. Funeral services were Sept. 25 at
Cumberland View Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Ray Wilson and Rev. Paul Martin
officiating. Interment was in the Cumberland View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers
the family requests that memorials be made to the Cumberland View Baptist Church
Building Fund, Jacksboro. Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
