Carl "Bo" Tackett age 24 of Rt# 1 Caryville passed away Saturday in Oak Ridge Hospital He was a member of The Royal Blue Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Mary Lee Massingill Tackett Step father and Mother Mr. and Mrs. Edward Daughterty brother Charles Earnest "Toby" Tackett all of Rt# 1 Caryville 4 half brothers and 4 half sisters funeral services were held Monday at 2 pm at he ___ Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Bailey officiating Internment was at Beech

Floyd Tackett, - age 75, of Lake City, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 30, 1997, at his residence. He was of the Baptist faith. He was born July 6, 1922, in Anderson County, he is the son of the late Boss and Retha Tackett. He was a retired coal miner and a U.S. Amry Veteran of W.W.II serving in the European Theater. Preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Pauline Vowell Tackett and sister, Marie Lindsey. Survivors: daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Charles Hazelwood, Knoxville; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary S. and Sharon W., Caryville, Chris A. and Naomi, Clinton; grandchildren, Stephanie K. Tackett, Caryville, Jonathan A. Tackett, Clinton; sister, Mary E. Loyd and husband, Arthur, Clinton; brothers, Virgil Tackett and wife, Martha, Caryville, Charlie Tackett and wife, Thelma, Lake City, Bill Tackett and wife, Mollie, Clinton; brother-in-law, Walter B. Lindsey, Toledo, Ohio; special friends, Amos and Helen Anderson, Lake City; several nieces and nephews. Visitaton 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 1997, at Cox-Martin Funeral Home. Funeral service 8 p.m. Thursday, October 2, 1997, at Cox-Martin Chapel with Rev. Ernest Ward, Rev. Clifford Fraker, Rev. C.H. Baird. Interment 11 a.m. Friday, October 3, 1997, at Oak Grove Cemetery. Martha Marie "Rea" Isabell Tackett. 60, of Lake City, formerly of Beech Grove and Cherry Bottom Communities, died Friday June 14, at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Lake City.She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Tackett;parents Leonard Leroy and Myrtle Mae Fritts Isabell, brother Condy Dean Isabell; stepson Virgle Tackett; and step daughter Dessie Phillips. She is survived by her stepdaughters Ocie Lay of Knoxville Evelyn Byrd of Jacksboro and Lena Meghee of Maryland stepson Claude Jeffers of Caryville twin sister Mary Christine "Kiss" Stepp of La Follette and sisters Bonnie L Smith of Lake City Pearl Daughterty of Caryville Mary Opelen Johnson of Knoxville Thelma Kimberlin of Lafollette Anna Louise Malton of Lake City Sharlett Phillips of Caryville and Stella M. Doll of Clinton brothers C.L. "Sonnie" Isabell and Lonnie L. Isabell of Caryville Funeral Services were Monday June 17 at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Miller and Rev. Warner Hawkins officiating Internment followed in the Woodhaven Memrial Gardens. Cox Funeral Home was in Charge of services. 

Mrs. Tackett was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Lake City and was a homemaker. Peggie Tackett, 85 of Mt. Victory, died, Wednesday June 11, 1986 at Humana Hospital Lake Cumberland. She was the daughter of the late Mike and Susie Arthur Ward. She was born December 1, 1900. She married Joe Tackett on April 17, 1921 She was a housewife and a member of the Payne Gap Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband and the following children: Edd Tackett, Huntsville,Ark., Marshall Tackett, Whitesburg; Hubert Tackett, Knoxville, Tenn.; Dora Ball, Coldwell, Idaho, ; Yyonne Hall, Tiffin,Ohio; Esther Wagner, Whitesburg. Funeral services were held Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Herman Bates and Bro. Claude Mincey officiating. Burial in the Mt. Victory Cemt.  Pulaski Funeral Home in Charge of arrangements.

J.B. Taylor, age 62 of Caryville, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2004 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was a member of Lake City Church of God. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.
He is preceded in death by; Parents, Elmer and Viola Leach Taylor. J.B. is survived by; Wife, Laura Taylor; Son, John B. II and wife, Kim Taylor; and grandson, Barton Taylor, all of Caryville. Brother; David and wife; Judy Taylor of LaFollette. Sisters, Sharon and husband, Bob Finch of Theresa, NY, and Cynthia Taylor of LaFollette. Nephews, Mark Taylor and Aaron Finch, and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Funeral were held at 8 PM Tuesday in the Chapel of Martin Wilson funeral Home with Rev. Hobert McCreary officiating. Interment will be Wednesday (today) at 2 PM in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family received friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday before funeral services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church of your choice. Martin Wilson Funeral Home of LaFollette is in charge of these arrangements.

Craig Teague, - age 83, of Jellico, Tenn., passed away Thursday, July 2, 1998, at the Jellico Community Hospital. He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church in Jellico. Survived by wife, Patsy Teague of Jellico; brothers, Marion Teague and Leon Teague, both of LaFollette, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church, Jellico, Sunday from 5-7 p.m. with funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. with Dr. Chuck Summers officiating. Family and friends will meet at 11 a.m., Monday, July 6, 1998, at the Jellico Cemetery for graveside service and interment. Honorary pallbearers: Bob Teague, Billy Teague, Dennis Teague, David Davis, Austin Teague, John Miller, Ralph Davis, Larry Teague and Donnie Teague. William Leon Tibbs, age 79 of LaFollette, born Oct. 28, 1924 died Aug. 25 at St. Mary's Hospice Center in Halls. He was a member of the LaFollette Church of God, a World War II Veteran and was retired from TVA after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Tibbs and father, George Tibbs. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Eloise Mink Tibbs; brother, Willard Tibbs; sisters, Lemond Carroll and Betty Baird; children, Linda and Richard Brooks, Eddie Tibbs, Shirley and Paul Sweat, Larry and Glenna Tibbs; grandchildren, Ricky Brooks, Tommy Brooks, Alan Brooks, Pam Millican, Paul Sweat Jr., Patrick Sweat, Charlotte Noe, Adam Bullock, Rebecca Patterson, Robin Tibbs and Shenna Tibbs. Funeral services were Aug. 28 at the LaFollette Church of God with Rev. Merrell Campbell and Rev. Norman Stallings officiating. Interment was in the Powell Valley Cemetery with Rev. Timothy Gann officiating. Military Honors were by the Campbell County Honor Guard. Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Gladys Trula Burchell Tinch, age 84 of Sunbright died Nov. 4 in the Life Care Center of Mogan County in Wartburg. She was born March 17, 1920 in LaFollette. She was a wonderful devoted wife, mother and Christian. She loved her children and everyone elses. She had many interests including books, flowers and gardening. She never met a stranger, she loved everyone. She was preceded in death by her husband of almost 65 years, Herschel Archie Tinch; parents, Sidney Edgar and Minnie Florence Phillips Burchell; sister, Ruby Edna Ashbrook; brother, Lawrence Burchell; infant brothers, Henry, Frankie and Wilbur; infant sisters, Mabel, Hazel, Ruth, Roberta and one unnamed baby sister. She is survived by her children, Jack and wife, Ruby Tinch, Beverly and husband, Ernie Adamson, Ronald and wife, Linda Tinch, Denver and wife, Carrie Tinch, Sharon and husband, Harold Tompkins, Laurel Tinch; granddaughter, Sarah Tinch; brother, Charles Edward Burchell of Knoxville; aunt, Bonnie Jones of Kodak; seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; many relatives and a host of friends.Funeral services were Nov. 6 at Shubert Funeral Home with Bro. John Bonham officiating. Interment was in the Union Hill Cemetery. Shubert Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mary Trammell, age 83 of Elk Valley passed away Thursday, December 9, 2004 at the Jellico Community Hospital.
She was born July 19, 1921 in Elk Valley, the daughter of the late Jack and Ellen Baird Thurman. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Elk Valley. Preceded in death by husband, Silas Trammell, July 20, 1994. She is survived by 3 sons: Paul Trammell of Elk Valley, Silas Trammell Jr. of Plainfield, In., and Ray Stanley Grant of Florence, Ky.; Daughter: Dereda Faulkner of Speedwell, Tn.; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; Sister: Parmia Mullins of Elk Valley, Tn. Funeral services were at 8:00 pm Saturday, December 11, 2004 at the Cox and Son Chapel with Rev. Earl Chapman officiating. Interment was at 11:00 am Sunday, December 12, 2004 in Valley View Cemetery. Cox and Son Funeral Home in charge.

Dorothy Virginia Tyra, age 69 of LaFollette died June 15 at the U.T. Medical Center in Knoxville. She was a member of the LaFollette Church of God. She enjoyed making flower arrangements and crafts. Her family was her life. She was preceded in death by her husband: Rev. George E. Tyra; son, Thomas E. Tyra; parents, Thomas H. and Vila Johnson Lingerfelt; brothers, Murrell, Chester, and Horace Lingerfelt. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and James McCloud of Loraine, OH; grandsons; brothers, Herschel Lingerfelt of Pittsburg, PA and Norman Lingerfelt of Buckeye, AZ; nephews, Ed Lingerfelt of Toledo, OH, Jerry Lingerfelt of Chattanooga, TN, Jim Ellis and Dennis Williams of LaFollette; nephew and spouse, Mike and Bonnie Fogle of Toledo, OH; very special friends, Michael and Suzzane Daugherty of LaFollette; several nieces and nephews and a host of special relatives, neighbors and friends. Funeral Services were June 18 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Norman Stallings officiating. Interment was in Bakers Forge Cemetery.
