26 August 1937 Rachel Vann
Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel Vann, 48, wife of William Vann,
who died 20 after a lingering illness, were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Pleasant
View Baptist Church with the Rev. Luther Wilson and the Rev. John Phillips
officiating. Burial was in church cemetery with Holley Funeral Home in charge.
Mrs.Vann, in addition to her husband, is suvived by six children, Mrs.Earl
Seiber of Clinton, Mrs.Lawrence Carden of Coal Creek, Clarence, Millard, Elmer
and Dean all of Clinton, her mother, Mrs.Sinda Ellis, three brothers, Wiley
Ellis, Oliver Ellis and Jessie Ellis, and two sisters, Mrs.Ada Hooks and
Mrs.Gerrie McDonald, Pallbearers were: (Can't read) Martin, Willie and Sam
Vann,? and Roy Ellis and Ernest Hooks. Flower Girls were: Stella Seivers, Lillie
Bell Vann, Myrtle Martin, Gladys Webber, Oma Daughterty and Virginia

Grace W. Vinsant, 97, of Jacksboro died November 29th, 2002 at
the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County.She was preceded in death by
her husband Walter Vinsant; daughter, Helen Heatherly; grandson, John T.
Heatherly; great great grandchild, Sidney Logan Dill; brothers, W.M., E.E. ,
Horace and Ed Weaver; sisters, Mazie Shoun and Sarah Phillips.Mrs. Vinsant is
survived by two grandchildren, four great grandchildren; eight great great
grandchildren; sister, Ester Ridenour, Rockford, TN..Funeral services were
December 2nd at the Martin Wilson Chapel with Reverends David Hicks and Leonard
Dabney officiating.Interment was in Campbell Memorial Gardens. The Lafollette

May 8,1994 Carrie Jane Goins Vowell,93,of Lake City died
Sunday,May 8,in Lake City Health Care Center,where she has resided several
years. Mrs.Vowell was born Feb.22,1901,in Knoxville to John Thomas and Lottie
Morton Goins.She was a homemaker and according to her family, enjoyed
gardening,canning,sewing and quilting before her health declined.She was a
member of Longfield Baptist Church. Survivors include grandchildren,Michael
Vowell and wife,Brenda,of Clinton,and Linda Weaver and husband,Ronnie,of
Jacksboro, three great-grandchildren,Eric Weaver,Ryan Vowell and Vanessa
Vowell,one sister,Ethel Woods of Lake City,and a daughter- in-law, Emma Sue
Vowell Creekmore of Lake City.Mrs.Vowell was preceded in death by her
husband,Horace Lee Vowell,in 1972, and a son,Claude H.Vowell,in 1956.Funeral
services was Monday at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.Mitch Walker and
Rev.Ronald Guthrie officiating.Burial was Tuesday morning at Oak Grove
Cemetery.
