Book of Wills, Inventories Etc.. (1842-1850)

 

State of Tennessee

Campbell County

 

In the naame of God, I John Harmon being sound of mind, do make this my last Will and Testament, and being in my proper senses, I first give and bequeath unto my wife, Sally Harmon, all I now possess, land and stock of every description that I possess at this time and after her death, I give and bequeath unto my son, John Harmon all the land that I now possess, black smith tools and my rifle gun and all the remaining property to belong to my children.

 

In witness whereof, I set my hand and seal this 20th day of Jany. 1842.

Signed, sealed in our presence, and we have subscribed our names hereto in the presence of the testator, this the 20th day of January 1842.

County Court - April Term - 1860

 

John Harmon, late of this county, was produced here in open court for probate, and thereupon came Francis Bullock and Aaron Bullock, subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrumeent, who being sirst sworn, depose and say that they heard the said John Harmon acknowledge that he executed the foregoing instrument to be his last Will and Testament and at the time of making said acknowledgement he was of sound mind and disposing memory, to the best of their knoowledge and belief.

 

Witness my hand at office this third day of April 1860.
