An Inventory of the personal estate of S.D. Queener, deceased, towit; 1 half Bushel Measure, 1 Cupboard, 1 clock, 1 bunch of wire and pieces of sheet iron, 1 basket, one candle stick, 1 dish, 1 taable, 2 beds and steads and furniture, 1 chisel, 1 loom, 1 bread tray, 1 kitchen cupboard, 1 oven and lid, 1 pot and lid, 2 sythes and chisels, 1 lot of Sundry Artickles of irons, 2 axes and chains, 1 auger and car bad, one wagon, 1 pr of chains collar and back band, 1 set of blacksmith tools, 1 screwplate, 1 gring stone, 2 hammer-holds,one pare of steelgards, 2 old plows, 1 pare of saddle bags, 1 wagon bed, 1 big plow, 1 double tree and single tree, 1 big plow, fork and double tree, 1 third of one pare Will Irons and Running Geaar of Saw Mill Frame, 1 mill sow, 1 lot of chains, 1 sorrell Colt, 1 grey mare,3 cows, aand 1 calf, 1 bell and collar, 1 beef cow,, 2 bridal heifers, 1 yoke of oxen, 2 small yoke of oxen, 2 black heifers, 1 red heifer, 1 pided heifer, 1 blue pided heifer, 2 heifer yearlings, 11 steers, 2 bells and collars, also one note on Caswell Queener for two hundred dollars in Tennessee Bank Bills, due on demand, and dated the 26th day of August 1856, considered good, also one note on Edward Dossett for three dollars and eighty five cents, due one day aafter date and dated 4th Feby. 1856, doubtful, also one claim on Campbell County allowing Jesse Hughes and Orpha Hughes $20, each, payaableto S.D. Queener and said Queeners widow has been furnished said (Whited out) ever since Queeners death, with necessaries, and I do not know what amount will be realized from the chain for the benefit of the estate.

 

The above allowance was made at the April term of County Court 1838, also one note on James N. Tucker and James Gray for 23 cords of wood, due the first day of November 1848, with credits to the amount of three dollars and sevenety five cents, not good, also one note on Charles Smith for $3.75, due 10th October 1843 which is not good, also one note on Zachariah Campbell for $8.37 due the 25th day of December 1841, which is not good. There is also a great number of small amounts against various persons out of date and in such condition as not to be collected unless the person who they are against will pay for them voluntarily A majority of them are insolvent people, for whiskey, wool, cording, etc. I will report hereafter of whatever amount may be sucessful in collectiong.

 

I also sold a hog that was running wild in the mountains of S.D. Queener for $ ? five dollars and had a credit placed on a note he had given for said hog to pay.

 

I also recieved of G.W. Smith $ 2.25, of S.D. Queener fees as Sheriff, also one negro woman Milly, aged from 20 to 25 years of age, and two negro boys, Jourdan, aged about 4 years and Reubin aged about 1 and half years.

 

The above is a true and perfect inventory of all the goods and chattels, rights, and credits of the said S.D. Queener, deceased, which would have come to my hands, possesion, or the hands of any other person for me, to the best of my knowledge and belief, this 8th day of October 1858.
