Hood cemetery is located in the east section of the Wilder quadrangle on the western side of the East Fork of the Obey River near Lick Branch. Take Hoodtown Road off of Hwy 127 just north of Grimsley. The road is usually not passable to regular vehicles due to huge pockets of standing water and huge pockets of deep mud. Descend into the valley and at the bottom of the mountain take the left trail to the river bottom. If the water is not flowing, cross the river bottom and go straight about 100 yards onto the opposite bank. There will be a trail going uphill on your right. Follow the trail up the steep hill until it begins to level offThe Hood cemetery is located in the woods a short distance in to the woods on the left. Contributed by: Jeffrey Hood
