Allardt, Tennessee - I'm sure this is another photo taken at Barger School.
My grandmother Edna couldn't remember the names of any of the children except her mother Ethel Florence Sprague, top row, 4th from left in the dark dress, and Harris Brown, whom she said was 5th from right on top row (Ethel was born in 1884 & Harris in 1887) This is the last school my great grandmother attended. She married

daughter of Perry Green Brooks and Rhoda (Smith) Brooks. She died in Fentress Co, TN 9 Feb 1918. I
am a descendant of their son James Alvin Brown who married Ethel Florence (Sprague) - their daughter Edna Tryphosia (Brown) who married Benjamin Franklin Nelson - and their daughter (my mother) Ethel Olena
Helen (Nelson) who married my dad, Raif Vernon "R.V." Cargill

On the left side is a photo of three generations. Sam is in the back. The
lady on the right is Sam's daughter Dora WALKER-RODGERS. The lady on the
left is Dora's daughter Mary Edna KIRKWOOD-WALKER. The child is me, Walter KIRKWOOD.

Sam was born 3/17/1864 in Loudon County. He married Marrietta 3/13/1887 and died on 8/30/1944 in Cookeville. Marrietta was born on 3/15/1871 and died on 7/29/1910.
