The Historical Society was established July 1975. It is a non-profit organization bringing together persons interested in history, especially in Mount Juliet and West Wilson County, Tennessee.
The Society's primary function is to discover and collect any material
which may help to establish the history of the area.
It collects genealogies, histories, manuscript material such as letters,
diaries, journals and etc.
The Society will provide for the preservation of such material.
All donated material becomes the property of the society and will
be available to the general public.
Your name and address should be on each page of the donated
material.
The Society's collection is housed at the Mount Juliet TN Public Library in the
Madelon Wright Smith Memorial Archives.
The library and the Historical Society maintain a close working relationship
and the files are
accessible to the general public during the library's normal hours of operation.
Membership in the Historical Society is $10 per person
or
$15 per couple in the same household.
All dues are to be paid yearly by July 1.
All members will receive the quarterly published by the society.
"The Chronicle" is filled with interesting articles of our
history and family genealogies.
Members may submit queries free, non-members are charged $4.00 per
query.
Queries may be edited.
Monthly meetings are held on the Second Sunday (except May which is
the Third Sunday)
at 2:00 p.m. at the
Mount Juliet-Wilson County Public Library.

through 2001.
There are 3054 names listed. You can purchase the book at the
Mt. Juliet Public Library or at any historical meeting for $10.
Or can be mailed for $13.
Our book, The Chronicle, Volume II is for sale.
A collection of the society's newsletters covering a ten year period.
Contains family histories, events and stories from the past.
If you have roots in west Wilson County, TN
you will probably find an ancestor among the 4500 names.
The book is 240 pages plus index, soft cover.
$20.00 if purchased at the regular meetings of the society at the
Mt. Juliet Public Library,
$23.00 if mailed.
