Although not much to speak of nowadays, just a sign pointing down the road off of the main highway (231); but at one time it was most likely a considerably little area.

Located just north east of Santa Fe, I rely on Carl Lockhart's opinion as he was a young boy in Taylor township. He remembers (this would have been in the 1930's) when there was a general store and a service station (remember those?). But that prior to that time there had been much more then that.

Surber Cemetery lies somewhere in close proximity to what once was Carp; however, it is now described as resembling a jungle.
