I am searching for any information on my ggg-grandmother, Safronia.
Family legend has it that her maiden name was UNDERWOOD, and that she
was half or full-blooded Indian. I first found her listed in the 1870
Hamilton Co., TN census with her husband John HOLMES. From this and
other census information, she was born in the early 1840's in GA or
NC. After the death of her first husband, she married Lewis EGGERT
about 1874 and lived in Marion Co., TN, dying there in 1927.
