The first known body interred here was that of Lambert Collins on 4\4\1870, (died in a wagon wreck). When the cemetery was started land was owned by Wilson Miser, who then sold the land to Howard Collins. Later owners were Logan and Nancy Miser, Loyd and Julia Sizemore, Herbert and Lizzie Collins and Boyd Collins.
On April 6, 1926, Logan and Nancy Miser deeded the one half acre cemetary to the Board of National Missions, Presbyterian Church, USA. Area was 120' by 180'.
The fence was moved in 1943 by Loyd Sizemore to include a long narrow strip to the east side. Boyd Collins agreed to extend the eastern limits of the cemetery in April 1972.
Most of the people buried here are direct lineal decendants of the first settlers, Vardy Collins and Shepherd Gibson.
