[Ruth T. married James GANT.] William died early in the war and Evaline married Jacob VAN BIBBER and they parented 4 children. Jacob and Evaline are buried at New Harmony Cemetery. May 16, 1861, William Bishop and 3 other Bishops along with 8 Alexander's went to Giles, CO, TN and joined the CSA, Clacks 3rd infantry CO. D. {J. L. Bishop, L. L. Bishop and Tunis L. Bishop} Jan. 1862 William Bishop is listed as dead in Bowling Green, KY. No grave that I can find. In 1860 William and Evaline Bishop are listed in the census at Henderson, CO with son John as 1 year old. The family moved to Hardin, CO after 1860. They could hear the battle of Shiloh from their front porch. The family was harassed by wondering soldiers who took their food and stock. They lived in Cerro Gordo, Olive Hill area where John and Ruth T. grew up and married.
1. John W.H.H.T.V.W. Bishop married.........? Ed Bishop..........?

6 children were born to them in Cerro Gordo, TN. In 1920 they moved to Pemiscot, CO, MO. John died in 1947 and "Fannie" in 1960.
Their oldest daughter Evelyn Bishop married 1. ? White 2. ? HAGGARD. I believe the WHITE marriage was in TN and possibly the Haggard in MO.
Family stories: John had an Aunt Millie, who was a pampered woman who owned slaves? John with 7 names was named for 7 uncles.
Frances Carolina SIMPSON had 2 small sisters drowned in a [pond, river] possibly twin sisters. Her mother ......? Was a widow with 3 daughters and a young son, Ben Simpson? When the family mules died the daughters helped pulled the plough. Ben and 2 sisters moved to TX.
Does anyone know anything about the Bishop and Simpson family. The parents of William Bishop. Were the 3 other Bishops brothers, cousins? The parents of Frances Caroline Simpson. Any information on Daniel would be greatly appreciated. Robert Beasley
Bedingfield Charles BEDINGFIELD was born ca 1809, probably in Lincoln co, TN but could have been in AL. He married Frances HALBERT in about 1834 and owned land in AL as early as 1816. He is buried in the Bedingfield cemetery in an
unmarked grave. I'd like information as to parents/siblings that would tie him to the Charles BEDINGFIELD who was appointed sheriff in Lincoln Co, TN in 1816.

Birdsong I am searching for a Margaret Elizabeth (Maggie) BIRDSONG JONES who married a Ed Jones from Giles County, where she was born to Rev. John Henry BIRDSONG in 1863. She came to AL and went to school and may have later located in AL. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Byrd W.R. BYRD, my g-grandfather. He married Rebecca Medcalf, 1878, Grant Co., Ark. They had one child, my grandfather, born 1879. W.R. & Rebecca only lived together about one year, and evidently he returned too Tennessee. The family has a note he wrote to a cousin, Samuel Daniel Byrd, who was still living in Grant Co., Ark. The note is dated April 18, 1901. W.R. said he was farming in the Pickwick area?? I would assume he was born in Tennessee in about 1845. Any info would be appreciated.

Carter
CARTER, I think his first name is Leon or William or possibly both. His wife Rachel HAMILTON called him "Slim". He was born in TN and buried in McNairy Co., TN. Rachel was also born 1900 in Tn (I think). Together they had 3 children; Rosa Lee, Amelia Marie and Ethridge Leon (my father). Leon or William died while Ethridge was still in womb, from a dynamite explosion. They always either called Ethridge; Bill or E. L.. I am unable to find anything out about Leon or William. I did find E. L., Marie and Rosa Lee an on the 1930 McNairy Co., TN census, but this was after Rachel's second marriage to William PERRY. I cannot find Leon or William anywhere, if that is what his name was. I was told he was buried at Indian Creek Tn. Any information I would be grateful.
Coleman I'm searching for LOUIS (LEWIS) G. COLEMAN, who, according to an 1880 Hemphill County, Texas Census file, was born in Alabama in 1936. I believe his birthplace might have been northwest Alabama because he later married Saluda Ann Mary ALLISON from Wayne/Hardin County, Tennessee.'Course, this could be absolutely wrong, but a shot in the dark sometimes hits the target!
Culp
I am seeking any information on the parents and siblings of; ARTHUR CULP b. 1883 in Alabama. His "siblings" were Deanna and John KOLB and possibly Minnie KIDD and Claude Kidd. Falls

I am looking for information on the Falls family in Hardin County. My grandfather was Fletcher Alex Falls, his parents were Francis Marion and Emilie Hester Russell Falls. I have no information on the Russell side. Francis Marion Falls’ parents were Andrew Falls and Margaret Asenith Ross Falls (not sure about the correct spelling of her name). I was far removed from my grandparents as a child having lived in South Georgia and North Florida most of my life. If anyone has information, or can direct me to a source of information, I would greatly appreciate it. I am particularly interested in any members of the Falls family who may have served during the Civil War (either side).
Fuller I just started my search for my family and it took me to Hardin County TN. I would like to know any thing about Jefferson FULLER family. Early 1800's, they came here from NC. Moved on to Hickman County.

Glover I am seeking information on J. W. GLOVER, born on 02/12/1858, wife Martha J. born in 1858, and mother Elizabeth born 03/29/1822. J. W. and Martha J. reported to census taker that they were born in Alabama. All three died in Tipton, Co. TN. Appreciate any info available.
Greenlee My husband's great grandfather was David Jasper Newton GREENLEE, born February 18, 1883, in Pickens Co., AL. His parents were Hugh Greenlee and Catharine SHOEMAKER Greenlee. They married September 2, 1822, in St Clair, AL. Hugh and family are on the Fayette Co.,AL census in 1830 , Winston Co., MS (I think) by 1840 and know they are on the Winston Co., MS Census for 1850, and in Choctaw Co., MS for the 1860 census.
We think Catharine is the daughter of John Harmon SHUMAKER and wife, Elizabeth. It seems he had a daughter named Catherine. Our Catharine was born in NC in 1806. It appears the Shumakers and Greenlees traveled together: NC, AL, MS.
