Harris I am looking for information on a Jim HARRIS who Married an Emma McGee. According to her death certificate Emma McGee was b.July 4,1873 d.Feb.27,1929 in Ridgely,Tn. They had 3 children: Bashie, Ann & Will. Will Harris was born on Sept 24,1893.I think in Hardin, Co.Tn. After Jim died, Emma then married a George Norman. They had 4 children Jim, Clair, Mae, Courdie & Dora.
Will Harris married an Allie Howell in Hardin,Co.Tn.on Jan.4,1912.Later they moved to Lake,Co.Tn.
Harrison My great grandfather, George W. HARRISON, married Miss H.B.McConnell in Hardin Co in 1879. We have only heard her called "Belle". Belle was my great grandmother. She died in Jackson, Madison County, in early 1885 after giving birth to her third child, and my grandmother, Ethel Harrison. Except for a brief mention of this marriage record, and an old photo of Belle made just before her death in childbirth, I know absolutely nothing about her or her family (and precious little about the Harrisons!). Any clues that you might
have are greatly welcomed.
Hinkle Baltis HINKLE was born in 1825 (date unknown) to Jonathan & Elizabeth (Paine) HINKLE. There is a Baltis in the 1850 Wayne County census, 7th CD entry 698. His age is given as 21 but that appears to be an obvious (?) mistake since he would be 25. He appears in the 1860 Hardin County census at entry 387, 4th CD with wife, children, and three siblings. In the Goodspeed History of TN, page 901 under entry for Henry Reyburn HINKLE there is reference to the father, Jonathan, and Baltis' job (B. HINKLE) as county clerk. I copied a document years ago at the Savannah Courthouse appointing him as Sheriff after leaving the job as County Clerk. I know that he was a member of the Savannah Masonic Lodge (I have a pin made from golddust he provided, with his name on back, made in about 1863). I have written the Lodge twice, but received no reply to either.
1. What is his birthdate? Middle initial/name?
2. Who was his first wife? And names of two daughters (family legend).
3. Why/How did he die at age 43? (Hinkles typically have a long life span). David Cagle said he thought it was 1868 (the year my grandfather, Samuel, was born).
4. Where is he buried?
5. Where is his wife, Mary Naomi MCDANIEL (granddaughter of BAIN family) buried. Note: She was married to Erastus ARUNDELL before Baltis and had one daughter, A.A.J. "adopted" by Baltis.
I know less about Baltis than most of my line of Hinkles. My dad (b. 1892), Riley Risden (Rid) HINKLE, (Named for Riley PATTERSON, and Risden DeFORD - Am also trying to find Baltis and Mary's son, George W. HINKLE who "ran away from home" as a teenager to NW Alabama (?).

Hopper I am searching for information on Tran HOPPER from Savannah Tn. Also any information on the BRANUMS buried in BRANUM cemetery at Bruton Branch.

Jackson I am researching Pitt JACKSON m. Elizabeth Helen FORMAN ..had twin boy 1883 born in Hardin Co.
Jacobs Mary JACOBS, widow with 9 year old daughter Mary Elizabeth, married William O'CONNER in 1859 in Memphis, TN. Mary Elizabeth married a sea captain and moved to New Orleans. The 1900 census of New Orleans shows that Mary Elizabeth was born in Alabama. Her mother, Mary (maiden name unknown) Jacobs must have married and lived in Alabama about 1850. William O'CONNER had ties in Fayette County, TN as well as Shelby County (Memphis) so it is possible that Mary Jacobs was from NW Alabama and someone might be researching the Jacobs line. Would appreciate any information about these names.
Johnson I am searching for Johnson's of Hardin Co. John Galloway JOHNSON in particular. He was my great grandfather. He was married twice, both women named Nancy. The second, Nancy (Nan) SHUBERT was my great grandmother. I have heard that John died somewhere around 1915-1920 in a Hardin Co. poorhouse. Any information will be appreciated. He is buried somewhere near Savannah, but I don't know where. I found a J. G. Johnson born 1840 died 1920 buried at Holland's Creek, that is the closest that I have found. He had 4 children by my g grandmother. Josiah, John, Allie (Alabama) and Tennie (Tennie Cee)
Jones I am searching for a Margaret Elizabeth (Maggie) BIRDSONG JONES who married a Ed Jones from Giles County, where she was born to Rev. John Henry BIRDSONG in 1863. She came to AL and went to school and may have later located in AL. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Martin My great great grandfather was James Douglas MARTIN of Savannah, Tn. So far I have not been able to determine who his father and mother were nor do I have any info about his siblings except that he had an older brother named John. This is one of my brick walls. After about 17 years of research I have discovered that I am related to many of the old families who were in that area in the early 1800s including the MARTIN, KENDALL, BROYLE', SPENCER, ROGERS, EASLEY and many others.
Melton James MELTON born 1788 possible SC; he married Permelia SOOTER after her death he married a CROCKETT, don't know first name. They moved to Searcy Co. Arkansas. I am also looking for family of Jason Rushing born 1831 Tennessee he married Nancy HUNTER, daughter of Malcolm HUNTER and migrated with them from McNairy Co. Tennessee to Coleman Co. Tx.

Miller Looking for any information on the family of Lizzie Bolden MILLER. Lizzie was born in Giles County Tn but some census say Alabama either in 1880,1883 or 1888.She supposely is the daughter of General SCOTT or Winfield Scott BOLIN from Giles county Tenn.He was married to Margaret HEWITT during these years and later married Mary LUMPKINS and had these children: Bob,Tom,Ed and Barney. Lizzie
had her first child about 1905 and his name was Clayton COLE so there may have been a marriage to a Cole. Later she was said to have been married to a Joe Miller. They lived in Colbert and Lauderdale County.Al. Other children for her were Lera Mae, James E,William Jesse, and Katie. Katie was listed as Katie McLAIN on the 1930 census and the rest of her children were listed on that census as the children of J W AVERY. Lizzie lived there too and was listed as a servant. I believe Lizzie gave them her children as she was dying of cancer and her husband Joe was already dead.I dont know for sure if she ever married as I cannot find her and Joe on any census together. The 1890 census who probably
give me some answers but unfortunatly that is not possible. There aren't any living relatives to help.
