William LUNSFORD and his wife Polly LUNSFORD are listed as defendants
in a lawsuit in Hancock Co. after its founding along with other heirs
that I have all identified as descendants of Wm. D. Trent Sr. From
the placement in with the other defendants one might assume that she
was a daughter of Wm. D. TRENT Sr. But the daughter of Wm. D. Trent
Sr. that was named Mary (and Polly is often a nickname for mary) was
supposed to be married to Timothy HOLDAWAY. There is no William
Lunsford listed in Hawkins Co. 1830-1840. Does anyone know who Polly
and William LUNSFORD are??

My great grandmother was Millie Collins and I haven't been able to
find her in any census. She was from east TN area of Anderson,
Campbell, Clairborne, Hancock, Hawkins , or Union County. She was
married to (1) John FIELDS and (2) Lewis BOLDEN/BOLIN/BOWLIN that I
know about but can find no records on. I don't have any birth, death
or marriage dates on any of the above people. Millie and John FIELDS
had the following children; Florence (1879?), Ed (1887?), Bird
(1887), Cora (1891), and Milford (1892).
Millie divorced John (date unk) and married Lewis BOLDEN (date unk
but around 1900). Lewis was evidently an abusive step father.
Sometime around 1900, Bird, age 13 at the time, killed Lewis with an
axe as he was drunk and beating on her brother Ed. This happened in
Hancock or Claiborne County I believe. Haven't found any record of
this either. I don't think she was ever charged with any crime. Any
help in proving any of this saga of relationships will be deeply
appreciated.
