HAYNES, AMIS, Lucy Ann Hanes was the second wife of Thomas Jefferson AMIS (~1744-1797). She was born ~1761 and married in 1787. Was this her second marriage too (she would've been 26- old for a first marriage)? Was Haynes her maiden name or a widowed name? (since the given name of her son with Thomas Jefferson AMIS was Haynes, I would suspect the former). Who were her parents? When did she die? Thanks.

CURRY, Samuel.-- I in a will dated 22 Feb. 1812 in Hawkins Co., TN, Samuel refers to his wife, Mary. There's a big battle raging on the CURRY Surname list as to who this TN Samuel belongs to. Some claim that this "Mary" is actually Polly SEAWRIGHT. Three CURRY's married three SEAWRIGHTS according to Chalkley's Scotch Irish Chronicles of Augusta Co. VA. I need death records, and/or documentation on Samuel and further information that would prove this "Mary's" surname. Apparently, this Samuel comes from Augusta Co. VA. However, I have a Samuel that dies in Augusta Co. in 1808. How will we know who is who? The battle rages on. Any help would be appreciated.
