   STALSWORTH FAMILY

While this information is far from complete, (is genealogy ever?), I
feel the need to put it online to allow people to fill in the blanks.
This line traces a lot of Thomas Stalsworths from SC through Grainger
County, TN into Knox Co.   An * before a name means that this person's
lineage will follow.  This is as far back as I know:

THOMAS STALSWORTH
Born about 1754 in probably SC.  His wife's name is unknown to me.
Their children are:
1.  James C. Stalsworth born about 1798 and married Maria Elizabeth Pope
on 3-20-1821.
2.  Mary Stalsworth born about 1800
3.  Frances Stalsworth born about 1802
4.  Amon Stalsworth born about 1803 and died about 1878.  Married a
woman named McMillan.
5.  Cornelia Stalsworth born about 1804.
6.  Sarah Stalsworth born about 1805
7.  Edmund Stalsworth born about 1807
*8.  THOMAS S. STALSWORTH  born about 1806 and died 1846.  Wife's first
name was Sarah.

THOMAS S. STALSWORTH

I am thinking that this S. must stand for Samuel since there are Samuels
that show up in some of the descendants.

Thomas S. Stalsworth was born about 1780.  He died in 1846.  His wife's
first name is Sarah.  Their children are as follows:

*1.  JOHN MILLER STALSWORTH  born about 1805 in SC and married Anna.
2.  Nancy Ann Stalsworth was born about 1807 and died about 1854.  She
married a John Henderson.  There is some question about this person.  A
transcriber somewhere along the line copied it as NANCH so some people
have picked it up as that.  I believe it was Nancy.
3.  Martha Elizabeth Stalsworth born about 1809
4.  Ann Stalsworth born about 1811 and married to a Holloway.  This
seems odd that a second child would be named Ann.  It was often done
when the first child died early.  Sometimes as many as three would be
named identical names when the others did not survive childhood.
5.  Thomas Stalsworth born about 1813.  Either this Thomas died young or
died without children.  In the entire line, he is the only Thomas that
is not included.
6.  Elizabeth Stalsworth born about 1815 and married a Tolbert
7.  Eleanor Stalsworth born about 1817 and married a Lake.

JOHN MILLER STALSWORTH

Born about 1805 in SC.  Married a woman named Anna who was born about
1804 in  VA.

Their children are as follows:
1.  Samuel Stalsworth born about 1829 in TN married Susannah.
2.  Elijah Stalsworth born about 1834.  The space between the first
child and the 2nd child could denote another marriage.
3.  Mary Stalsworth born about 1835
*4.  THOMAS MILLER STALSWORTH born 12-20-1837 and died 2-24-1891.  He
married Hannah Roach on 9-29-1861.
5.  Deletha Stalsworth born about 1839.
6.  Sarah Stalsworth born about 1843.
7.  Elizabeth Stalsworth born about 1847.

THOMAS MILLER STALSWORTH
born 12-20-1837 in Grainger Co, TN and died 2-24-1891.  He married
Hannah Roach 9-29-1861.  She is the daughter of Absolem Roach and Luvicey
Janeway and was born 10-20-1837 and died about 1932.  Their children
are:

1.  John W. Stalsworth born 1-1-1863
2.  Narcissus A. Stalsworth born 11-28-1865
*3.  THOMAS FRANKLIN STALSWORTH born 4-22-1868 and died 5-24-1951.
Married first Jerusha Adeline Renfro and 2nd Josephine Bussell.
4.  Louisa Stalsworth born 11-22-1870
5.  William Absolem Stalsworth born 7-23-1873 and died 2-1-1971 and is
buried in Highland Memorial Cemetery in Knoxville, TN.  He married first
Kathleen Patterson and 2nd Sarah Hester Pedigo.
6.  Albert Stalsworth
7.  Luvicey Stalsworth born 1875 and died about 1932.  Married John
Dukes.

THOMAS FRANKLIN STALSWORTH
First marriage

Born 4-22-1868 and died 5-24-1951.  Buried in New Corinth Cemetery,
Grainger Co.  First he was married to Josephine Bussell born 1867.  He
had the following children:
1.  Horace Robert born 8-16-1890 and died 12-1980.  buried Grainger Co.
Memorial Gardens.  He married first Nancy Rose, and second Emma Lee
Williams.
2.  Fred Cecil Stalsworth born 3-9-1894 and died 10-1929.  He married
Ester Beulah Acuff in 1913.
3.  Fannie Caroline Stalsworth born 1-27-1897 and married Arthur
Hillard.
4.  Berl U. Stalsworth born 7-31-1899 and died 11-15-1984.  He married
Josie Nichols on 2-19-1925.

THOMAS FRANKLIN STALSWORTH
Second marriage

Married about 1900 to Jerusha Adeline Renfro.  she was born 3-16-1882
and died 3-7-1953.  They had the following children:

1.  Bessie Mae Stalsworth born 12-22-1901 and married Thurman Elbert
McClain
2.  Hazel Stalsworth born 4-6-1904 and died young.
*3.  THOMAS JEFFERSON STALSWORTH  born 1-4-1905 and died 3-10-1995.
Married Lucy Viola Chadwick.  Both buried Dyer's Cemetery in Powder
Springs.
4.  Flora Etta Stalsworth born 7-20-1908 and died 6-22-1927.  Buried at
New Corinth Cemetery.  Married Robert Roach
5.  Paul Albert Stalsworth born 6-4-1910 and died 5-11-1986.  buried at
Roseberry Cemetery.  Married first to Kine Orrick and 2nd to Lillian
Pedigo Clark.

7.  William K. Stalsworth
9.  Raymond Stalsworth

THOMAS JEFFERSON STALSWORTH

married Lucy Viola Chadwick.  Children are:
