I have this day appointed, ADAM LAMB, my true and lawful attorney in fact and in my name to sue for all moneys or
properties that may be coming to me in Marion County or that may be conveyed to me at the death of RANSOM SMITH, my father
to receive any affects that may in any way be come to me and receipt for the same in my name and apply the proceeds to a debt
that I owe, A. LAMB, and should there be a surplus after paying the debt and interest with any necessary expenses that balance I
held in your hand subject to my order.
Given under my hand and seal this day 31st of July 1854.

SMITH, subscribing witnesses to the within power of attorney whoafter being duly sworn deposed and says that they are acquainted
with the assignor and that he made and acknowledged for the purposes therein contained and expressed.
