Death of Shade M. Moree, 91, occurred Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J. O. Alexander in Marvin community, Paris, Rt. 3, where he resided. Funeral services were arranged at Brown-Roden Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Lester Singleton of Ramseur Baptist Church, with burial in McCraw's Chapel Cemetery near Petty. Time for services had not been announced Thursday noon. Mr. Moree was born in Marion County, Tenn., Dec. 24, 1853, and had lived in Lamar County since 1889, when he came here to engage in farming. He married Miss Ida Melton who died in 1924. He leaves these children; W. T. Moree, Powderly; Melvin Moree, Kirkland; Mrs. Alexander of Marvin; Houston Moree of Seymour; Louis Moree and Mrs. Dora Pulliam of Borger, Sam Moree and Jewel Moree of Paris; 42 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren."
